www.jenks.comThe city and its leaders work to provide the best comprehensive community services possible, through a City Council/City Manager form of government. The City Council consists of citizens who are elected in their respective wards. The City Council meets regularly two times each month in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
In addition to the council, there are many appointed boards whereby citizens gain volunteer leadership opportunities and citizen involvement in the process is encouraged. Boards include the Planning Commission, Appearance Review, and Board of Adjustments.
The City of Jenks is lauded in the metro area for its strong leadership, vision, and pro-business and development attitude. In 2005, the citizens of Jenks overwhelmingly approved a $16 million General Obligation Bond that included bridge and roadway improvements, wastewater treatment facility expansion, public safety equipment, new radio system for emergency services, and renovations to municipal buildings.
