Construction to close Main Street Sept. 8

On Wednesday, September 8, 2010, Main Street will be closed from Cedar St. to Elm St. for construction work at Date and Main.
This area will be closed to through traffic beginning at 6 a.m. The street will be re-opened to through traffic once the contractor has installed the drainage pipe and backfilled the area sufficiently for traffic.
It is anticipated that Main St. should be open to traffic before the afternoon rush hour.
All Main St. traffic will be directed to use Cedar and B St. and Elm St. as a detour around the construction zone.
