
Each year, the Jenks Chamber of Commerce recognizes the best in business and community at the Annual Gala. Below is a list of Awards and descriptions. We are currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Best in Jenks Business Awards. Nominations are due January 15 and must be submitted through the Jenks Chamber online form.
Young Professional of the Year
Description
The Young Professional of the Year is awarded to an individual under the age of 40. This individual has made significant contributions to their company and the community at large in the previous year.
Criteria
1. The applicant must be under 40 years old.
2. The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
3. The applicant must be the owner, partner or major shareholder in the business and active in its day-to-day operations.
New Business of the Year
Description
This award honors a business that has demonstrated remarkable growth and made a meaningful impact on the local economy and community over the past year. Recipients will be evaluated on business growth, innovation, sound business practices, and engagement within the community.
Criteria
1. The business must have opened in 2025.
2. The business must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
3. The business must be a locally owned, for-profit business.
Retailer of the Year
Description
The Retailer of the Year award recognizes the best in retailers and retail innovation in the Jenks community. The winner will demonstrate excellence in retailing through successful sales, merchandising and customer service.
Criteria
1. The business must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
2. The business must be a locally owned, for-profit business.
3. The business must be a retailer, selling goods directly to consumers.
Restaurant/Bar of the Year
Description
This award celebrates an establishment that has shown notable growth and consistently delivers exceptional products and service. It also recognizes businesses that have made a meaningful impact on the local economy and community over the past year. Recipients will be evaluated on business success, innovation, sound business practices, and community involvement.
Criteria
1. The business must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
2. The business must be a locally owned, for-profit restaurant or bar.
Business of the Year
Description
This award recognizes an organization that has shown significant growth and made outstanding contributions to the local economy and community over the past year. Applicants will be evaluated on business growth, innovation, sound business practices, and community involvement.
Criteria
1. The business must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
2. The business must be a locally owned, for-profit business.
Community Impact Award
Description
The Community Impact Award is given to an individual or organization that has gone above and beyond in pursuit of progress in the Jenks community. The winner will have made a considerable positive impact on the quality of life in the community through service, investment, leadership or another form of contribution.
Criteria
1. The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
Small Business of the Year
Description
The Small Business of the Year award recognizes a business with under five full-time employees that has proven its resilience and innovation, standing out among others in the same industry. Applicants will be judged on demonstrated business growth, innovation, sound business practices and community involvement.
Criteria
1. The business must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
2. The business must be a locally owned, for-profit business.
3. The business must have less than five full-time employees
Women of the Year
Description
This award honors a woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and made a meaningful impact on the Jenks community over the past year. Recipients will be evaluated on professional achievements, community involvement, leadership qualities, and contributions that have inspired and supported others.
Criteria
1. The applicant must be a member in good standing of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.
2. The applicant must be a woman who lives in, works in or contributes significantly to the Jenks community.
